Happy Feature Friday! This week, it’s our absolute pleasure to feature Prof. Sherry Warner! Prof. Warner is one of our new Art Therapy professors! She is currently a practicing therapist while also teaching. Prof. Warner holds a couple of degrees, including a Master`s from Drexel University, an Undergraduate Degree from Muhlenberg College in Sociology and Fine Art Photography, and a Fine Art Photography degree from the University of Delaware. Among these degrees, one of her proudest accomplishments is having opened her own independent practice, which is based in Marlton, NJ. Some of the biggest influences in her life are her mom and her supervisor, Elissa Arbeitman. Part of what makes Prof. Warner stand out in her field is her dedication to her lifetime of the arts as well as her deep admiration for the arts in the field of psychology. We can’t wait to see what Prof. Warner does within the Art Therapy program, and we are so excited to see what experiences she can bring to our students

Another Friday, another feature! This week, we get to feature Heather Edwards! Heather is in her final year of the BFA program as a Studio Art Major. Part of what makes Heather’s art stand out so much is the fact that she makes all of her pieces either on or out of cardboard. Heather got the inspiration to work on cardboard from Hector Spector, who is another artist who works on cardboard. With every piece she creates, Heather shows that art doesn’t have to be expensive, and it can be made from even the most basic materials. Heather has done many art projects using materials other than cardboard, such as ceramics, but her favorite piece thus far has been the couch she is making out of cardboard. We can’t wait to see where her art goes after graduation and where her journey takes her outside of her art!
